Executive Officer

Dr Charlotte Hurry is currently Centre manager for ARC Training Centre in Optimisation Technologies, Integrated Methodologies, and Applications (OPTIMA) based at The University of Melbourne. Charlotte was FLEET’s Executive Officer between 2019 and 2020, she coordinated reporting of key performance indicators and budgets across the FLEET nodes and provides administrative support to the Executive team. Charlotte holds a PhD in population genetics from Griffith University in Queensland. Her thesis concentrated on using DNA to track the distribution and dispersal of endangered freshwater crayfish between mountaintops in Queensland. Before that, Charlotte graduated her Bachelor of Science at Monash University. Since 2002, Charlotte has worked in several Australian universities as a project and research administrator. Her last role was as the Senior Centre Administrator for the ARC Centre of Excellence in Convergent Bio-Nano Science and Technology (CBNS).
