FLEET Satellite Meeting

Members & Affiliates Only Event

In conjunction with ICPS 2022 in Sydney on 27-30 June, FLEET is hosting a ICPS Satellite Symposium on Friday, 1 July 2022 at the Headlands Austinmer Beach resort, about 1.5 hours south of Sydney.

The FLEET ICPS Satellite Symposium is intended to be an intimate workshop to discuss the latest research in topics relevant to FLEET including 2D materials, topological materials and spin phenomena, and exciton and exciton-polariton science. The program will consist of 11 speakers, and expect it will be a scientifically exciting meeting in a beautiful setting. All FLEET members are invited to attend the meeting.

OUTBOUND

• 5:30 PM Thursday 30 June 2022: Sydney to Austinmer.

• 10:00 AM Saturday 2 July 2022 Austinmer to Sydney or Wollongong

Accommodation

Accommodation is available at Austinmer. A limited number of rooms have been reserved for invited speakers, please indicate your requirements in the registration form.

Members who are attending both the satellite meeting and the FLEET annual workshop may consider the following accommodation options:
1. Stay onsite at Headlands Hotel Austinmer, limited accommodation available which you can book directly
2. Stay at the FLEET workshop accommodation venue Novotel Wollongong Northbeach, ~25mins drive to Headlands Austinmer (~$40 taxi cab) or ~1hr bus ride – just indicate this requirement in your FLEET2022 registration. If you’ve already registered for FLEET2022 and want to modify this, please let FLEETcentre@monash.edu. know and we’ll change your check-in date.
3. Stay the weekend in Sydney and then join the FLEET bus to Wollongong on Monday.
