At times you may be lost about what to do or say or fearful about saying or doing the ‘wrong’ thing. Other times, you may feel like you are climbing an insurmountable mountain, that you are taking all these actions but seeing little to no results leaving you feeling down, stressed, and frustrated. You see the need for change and you want to see it happen. So what can you do to create an inclusive culture? One where all people thrive and not just survive? One where there isn’t just representation but equity, equality, safety (psychological and cultural), belonging, respect, and justice?
 
In this session, we break down effective and practical actions you can take every day to create an inclusive culture replacing overwhelm with inspiration and empowerment. For it is effective everyday actions that compound over time creating sustainable, long-term and effective change. 
 
In this 90-minute inspirational, interactive and collaborative session you will:
  • Get clear on what true inclusion is and isn’t
  • Construct a collaborative and unified view of what an inclusive culture looks like for your organisation/industry
  • Understand psychological safety and utilise an effective framework to understand how to create it in your organisation/industry
  • Explore the butterfly effect and why this framework works to build an inclusive culture in the workplace. 
  • Learn 10 practical and effective inclusion actions and reflect on how you can integrate them into how you show up on a day-to-day basis to be consciously inclusive of others.
  • Explore mentoring Vs. sponsorship in moving the needle toward greater representation, equity, and equality
  • Create a quarterly inclusion roadmap: decide and commit to several micro-actions for;

    • your organisation
    • your industry

About the presenter

In 2021 she was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for her extensive work in diversity and inclusion. Winitha has over 23 years of experience as a CEO and senior executive and has founded several successful businesses. She has worked with Boards responsible for billions of dollars, coached large corporate organisations to test and validate projects using a six figure budget instead of an eight figure budget and directly supported Commissioners, CEO’s, Senior Executives and Pro Vice Chancellors to successfully roll out complex organisational wide transformation projects.
