Daniel McEwen was a PhD student, worked with Prof Michael Fuhrer at Monash University. In this project, he aimed to investigate two-dimensional WTe₂ (a topologically insulating material) on an insulating substrate. This was in order to disentangle the contribution of the substrate from that of the material. This will contribute to Research theme 1, topological materials.
