Application closes 31 October 2017.
We seek two research fellows be involved in originating new theoretical concepts and also fabrication and characterisation of atomically thin and two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors. The focus is on developing future electronic components, which will be used for creating energy efficient devices. We seek applicants with PhDs in physics, chemistry, materials science and electronic engineering (or equivalent). We are after applicants of strong scientific track records and high international standings in comparison to their peers. These two Level B Academic positions will be supervised by Prof. Kourosh Kalantar-zadeh at RMIT School of Physics, based in Melbourne. We are looking for:
- Strong research track record in micro/nano materials and device fabrication processes as well as material characterisations
- Good knowledge regarding the physics of low dimensional materials
- Demonstrated ability to experimentally realise and characterise electronic, optical, chemical properties of functional materials
- Proven ability to undertake scientific research and development in research programs.
