Are you a postdoctoral fellow with a background in physics and experience in open-quantum theory and/or theory of transport in solid-state devices?
We are seeking a fellow to be responsible for investigating high-order dissipation channels within topological edge states; using numerical and analytic techniques to model electron transport in 2D and topological materials; and exploring methods to decrease loss due to higher-order dissipation channels in devices based on topologically protected edge states.
Strong mathematical, computer programming, and verbal and written communication skills are necessary. This Level A6-B1 Academic position is on offer based on experience, to be supervised by A/Prof. Jared Cole at RMIT School of Physics based in Melbourne. We are looking for:
- A PhD in Physics or related discipline
- Experience in open-quantum theory and/or theory of transport in solid-state devices
- Strong mathematical, computer programming and communication skills
- Proven ability to undertake scientific research and development in research programs.
