Hong worked with CI Dimi Culcer at UNSW. They explored spin-orbit coupling and interaction effects in topological materials theoretically. As a member of the Research theme 1 team, she worked to understand the criteria for protection against dissipation and also include the operational criteria for achieving dissipationless transport.
