A pioneer of the study of electronic properties of 2D materials, FLEET Director Prof Michael Fuhrer (Monash) is a Fellow of the American Physics Society, and Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Within FLEET, Michael’s team synthesised and studied new, ultra-thin topological Dirac semimetals and two-dimensional (2D) topological insulators with large bandgaps within Research theme 1, as well as working in themes 2 and 3 and Technology A. FLEET Executive Committee 2017-2024.
