Dr Priyank Vijaya Kumar (UNSW) is a Scientia Senior Lecturer and an ARC DECRA Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW, Sydney. Within FLEET, Priyank’s research focused on designing atomically-thin materials and plasmonic nanostructures for applications in low-energy electronics and optoelectronics using ab initio computational methods such as density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent DFT (TDDFT). As a Chief Investigator he was involved in FLEET Research theme 3: light-transformed materials, and in Enabling technology A: atomically-thin materials.
