Wafa Afzal is currently a researcher at Archer Materials Ltd. Wafa recently completed her PhD project working with Prof Xiaolin Wang at the University of Wollongong. Wafa is an experimental condensed matter physicist, with expertise in thin films of magnetic nanoparticle dispersions in polymers, exploring the surface and magnetic states of these films using atomic force microscopy and magnetic force microscopy. She was previously working within FLEET’s Enabling Technology A and Research theme 1, atomically thin materials, where she fabricated and analysed the transport properties of topological Weyl semi-metals.
