We use two-colour pump probe spectroscopy to investigate the dynamics of WS2 monolayers on the femtosecond timescale, observing evidence of coherent behaviour during the overlap of the pulses for both sub- and above-bandgap pump pulses. The Optical Stark effect is found to be the cause in the case of the sub-bandgap pump, while experiments using an above-bandgap pump pulse are on-going.
