Edge state transport in WTe2

Topological materials are promising for future low energy electronic device applications. These materials have been predicted to exhibit ballistic transport along their 1D edge. However, experiments have revealed higher resistance than expected.

We aim to characterise the scattering mechanisms causing this resistance in WTe2, a topological material.
