We seek an experimental physicist with expertise in the area of experimental condensed matter physics and surface science. The fellow will be working with FLEET Associate Investigator Dr Mark Edmonds at Monash University. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Conduct research into the growth (via molecular beam epitaxy) of novel two-dimensional electronic materials such as topological Dirac semimetals and topological insulators, that are then characterised by angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy, and low-temperature transport
- Publish research outcomes in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, contribute to high-profile conferences and workshops
- Assist in the supervision of MSc and PhD students
What we are looking for:
- PhD in experimental condensed matter physics or a closely related field
- Experience in molecular beam epitaxy growth, ultra-high vacuum systems and angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy techniques and/or transport measurements is highly desirable.
