ICON-2DMat 2018 will start each day with two plenary speakers in the morning session, followed by four concurrent sessions with keynote, invited and contributed presentations. The CONFERENCE PROGRAM is now available for view.

  • Plenary: 35 minutes presentation + 10 minutes Q & A
  • Keynote: 25 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q & A
  • Invited: 15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q & A
  • Contributed: 12 minutes presentation + 3 minutes Q & A

In addition, we will also have two poster sessions on Tuesday 11 December and Wednesday 12 December.

Editorial Plenary Session

A panel discussion with editors from top scientific journals including Nature, Small, Advanced Materials Technologies and Science China Materials. Facilitated by conference co-Chair Prof. Michael Fuhrer, delegates will have the opportunity to ask our guest panelists the hard questions on getting manuscripts published!

ICON-2DMat Young Scientist and Best Poster Awards

ICON-2DMat Young Scientist Awards

The ICON-2DMAT Young Scientist Awards (YSA) 2018, sponsored by Nano Materials Science, is to recognise highly innovative Early Career Researchers (within 10 years of PhD) who have shown great potential to be world-class researchers in 2D Materials research.

There are two available! Winners will each receive a cash prize of AUD$1000 and a trophy. Any inquiries please email: coo@fleet.org.au.

Application Instructions:

a) Complete and return the nomination form, not later than 15th November 2018, to: coo@fleet.org.au, with a subject specified as “YSA_First name_Last name”
b) Eligibility of nominee: obtained Ph.D. degree within 10 years
c) Supporting documents: (1) one-page brief curriculum vitae; (2) two reference letters; (3) first biography page of passport.

Poster Prizes

Winners of three (3) best posters will be selected by ICON-2DMat topic chairs and presented at the conference dinner on Wednesday 12 December:
