Sir Kostya Novoselov is Langworthy Professor of Physics at the University of Manchester and a Director of the National Graphene Institute. His work with Andrew Geim to isolate graphene for the first time has earned them a Nobel Prize in Physics 2010. Sir Kostya International recognition for his work in condensed matter physics, mesoscopic physics and nanotechnology includes the International Union of Pure and Applied Science Prize (2008) and the Leverhulme Medal from the Royal Society (2013). He was knighted in 2012.
