Professor Michelle Spencer is the Associate Dean, Applied Chemistry & Environmental Science at RMIT University. She leads the computational materials chemistry group, using quantum mechanical calculations and ab initio molecular dynamics simulations to investigate materials and nanomaterials which have applications in electronic devices, sensors and batteries.
Within FLEET, she works with CI Lan Wang to determine the physics and chemistry of new 2D multiferroic materials that are formed from monolayers or van der Waals (vdW) bilayer materials.
