A/Prof Torben Daeneke is an ARC DECRA Fellow at RMIT University, his work is focused on the development of novel synthetic pathways for the large-scale production of functional atomically-thin materials.
Torben has developed novel pathways allowing the wafer-scale synthesis of atomically-thin transition, post-transition and rare-earth metal oxides: materials with unique electronic, magnetic and optical properties that will be used to achieve the goals of FLEET’s Enabling technology B, Enabling technology A and Research theme 2.
As an CI for FLEET, Torben develops new synthetic approaches for target materials, with a specific focus on metal chalcogenide and oxide semiconductors and topological insulators.
Torben is also co-Chair of FLEET’s industry-relations committee.
