Dr Carlos Kuhn is now a strategic analyst working with optimisation algorithms in the Australian public service.
At FLEET, Carlos was a postgraduate with Prof Chris Vale in Swinburne University of Technology’s ultra-cold atomic gas group, where his primary focus was commissioning of a new quantum-gas microscope laboratory, the first of its kind in Australia, which will allow investigation of quantum effects at a macroscopic scale, a key component of non-equilibrium physics studied within FLEET Research theme 3, light-transformed materials.
As an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy Carlos is also passionate about science in education, and inspiring students to study science, and was a champion of FLEET outreach.
