CI Prof Xiaolin Wang has made significant achievements in innovative design, fabrication, electronic, spintronic, and superconducting properties of novel electronic or spintronic systems such as topological insulators, high spin polarised materials, superconductors, multiferroic materials, and new energy materials in various forms such as single crystals, thin films, and nano-size particles/ribbons/rings/wires. He leads the Enabling Technologies Theme A, where he directs the Centre’s effort to exploit charge and spin quantum effects in magnetic topological insulators as well as fabricate of high-quality single-crystal bulk and thin films samples for joint research with all other nodes. His research also falls with Research theme 1.
