CI Prof Jared Cole specialises in quantum physics and decoherence theory and its application to solid-state systems. His current research interests include quantum circuit theory, spin physics, decoherence, measurement and entanglement theory, quantum information and computing.
Within FLEET he is specifically investigating the influence of dissipation and decoherence on electronic transport in nanostructures, and its role in electronic devices based on topologically protected conduction channels. His research falls within Research theme 1: topological materials
