Qikun Xue, Tsinghua University

PI Prof Qi-kun Xue is currently VP for Research, Director of the State Key Lab of Quantum Physics, and Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Xue coordinates the collaboration between Tsinghua and FLEET, including a significant exchange program of student and postdoctoral researchers. Xue pioneered high quality thin films of topological insulators and first demonstrated the quantum anomalous Hall effect. Within FLEET, he provides critical insights in novel 2D topological insulators in the quantum spin Hall and quantum anomalous Hall phases in Research Theme 1.
